The Spring and the Delight

The time is around the 1920s and 30s. In a wealthy-looking and yet remote summer house situated by the seaside, a modern woman, Choon-hee, who wants to live a passionate and splendid life away from the ordinary everyday life, is staying with her warm-hearted fiancee, Jin-Han, who is ill. Her handmaid,Wol-ryong, has a special ability to see the future. In her future she is on a film set by the seaside, but rather than the splendid future she had dreamt for herself, she is an actress in rags. The crossover of time and the unique setting convey some vague anxieties and sense of emptiness of the unknown future.
