A Woman and War

Set near the end of World War II, writer Nomura is in despair. He forms a pact with a former prostitute, a woman whose father sold her to a brothel years ago due to financial hardship. They agree to live as husband and wife until the war ends. While she feels no sexual pleasure because of her past, he is consumed by lust. Meanwhile, Ohira, a veteran of Japan's atrocities in China, returns home with one arm and starts preying on innocent women.
