Lies of P est un jeu d'action Souls-like vous plongeant dans un univers sombre inspiré par le conte de Pinocchio. Vous y incarnez une poupée mécanique évoluant dans la ville morbide et inhumaine de Krat, qui devra mentir pour devenir un petit garçon. Pour résumer globalement, c'est le meilleur souls like après les From Software dont il s'inspire énormément.
Version PC 33 h de jeuMais inspirer est un faible mot, toutes les mécaniques ont été reprises, ce jeu est un best-of de tous les Souls mais en moins bien.
Heureusement que les boss remontent le niveau, ils sont tous très réussis et le challenge est présent, la DA de l'univers de Pinocchio est réussi, les dialogues des PNJ également.
Ce qui est raté et ce qui ne me fera pas refaire le jeu comme les souls que j'ai fais en boucle c'est la construction des niveaux. Le jeu est linéaire à son maximum, aucun lieu caché, aucun embranchement, c'est une véritable ligne droite et c'est dommage. Le level design est très médiocre. D'autant que les biomes se ressemblent énormément et on a l'impression de refaire la même chose finalement.
C'est apparemment le premier jeu du studio donc pour un début c'est bien, Lies of P 2 est prévu et il sera sur l'Unreal Engine 5. J'espère qu'ils auront acquis de l'expérience pour proposer une vrai map.
