Mean Love

A hateful romance between a professional detective actor who wants to become a melodrama master and a female reporter who was demoted from a political reporter who won the Reporter of the Year award to the entertainment department.
Im Hyeon Jun is a detective actor who wants to become a 'master of melodrama' and a 'prince of romantic comedies'. Hyeon Jun is more famous by his drama name, Kang Pil Gu than by his real name, and he is about to start filming Season 5 of the hugely popular drama "Good Detective Kang Pil Gu". However, his stress level is on the verge of exploding due to his image as a righteous detective being stereotyped, and he has fallen into mannerisms due to repeatedly playing the same role for years. This character wants to transform his image into a newer role, such as a romantic comedy or melodrama.
Wi Jeong Sin is an entertainment reporter. Jeong Sin was a political reporter in her 8th year who had been on a roll, even winning the 'Reporter of the Year' award, but was demoted to the entertainment department while covering a corruption case. After meeting the star Im Hyeon Jun, whom she had secretly admired, she becomes a character who takes it upon herself to take on a thorny path as a 'fan' in a world where news is everything.
