Asahi Seiko, an oden shop owner, lives a happy life with her husband Kazuki, two children, and mother-in-law. Her world shatters when Kazuki disappears. A month later, she identifies a decomposed body as his, based on distinctive moles, and receives a life insurance payout. Seiko, a resilient mother, works to rebuild her family's life, supported by her strong son, Eita. However, a year later, Kazuki suddenly reappears, throwing Seiko into a vortex of confusion and doubt about the identified body and the insurance money.
Meanwhile, Kuzuhara Saharu, also raising a daughter alone after her husband Yukio's disappearance, meets Seiko at a support group. United by their desire to protect their children, they uncover shocking truths behind their husbands' disappearances, leading them to make bold, irreversible decisions.
